How to socialize Puppy prior to Parvovirus clearance

I brought little Franklin home last Saturday. Like any puppy, he vacillates between being a sweet little thing and a complete terror! We have had an issue with a stomach bug that should be cleared up in a day or two. My question: he will be 9 weeks tomorrow but will not be cleared for public interaction (doggy park) until 12 weeks or more, when his Parvovirus immunizations are completed. Any thoughts on socializing the little feller in the meantime? My wife's poodle avoids the pup or snarls and growls, thus providing little or no help. Thanks for any thoughts you might offer.

You know, it's just isn't worth putting them in harms way. As impatient as I am to get her feet on the ground, time does pass fast, and before you know it, it will be time.

We brought Enzo anywhere and everywhere we could. As mentioned, Lowes, Home Depot.....many, many walks in very social places...Her feet just never hit the ground. This way, She quickly became aware of the sounds of the everyday world. Cars, motorcycles, garbage trucks, horns honking, kids screaming...you name it, she has heard it and I can honestly say, absolutely nothing bothers her! LOL..I will say she saw a ginormous blow-up gorilla at a car dealership the other day, that she was not entirely sure of. ;). Fact is, you can socialize very easily and still keep your baby safe. We use the petsafe easy walk harness, then just attach the leash to it, then hooked it in the wagon. Do be careful though, because Maci tried to jump out twice as she was getting used to it.
You will also find a lot of people on this website really like that harness for walking.

I bought a "papoose" carrier-the pup sits in it-facing forward and I can walk around with her without her on the ground. Carry a puppy pad in case she has to go potty. She is out growing it fast, though.Same with taking her to Pet stores-clean basket and put her on her blanket.
