Checking in, Simba is one now!
Hi. I've been reading the site, but I haven't checked in lately, Simba just turned one. Simba is in generally a calmer dog, but he still gets way over excited when greeting people, jumping up over and over and wiggling his whole body. Any suggestions on that?
We didn't end up getting a second puppy, but now I am getting tempted again. The rest of the family thinks Simba is enough - what to do?

I would not get another puppy until the rest of the family is on board. Raising a puppy is a big responsibility and the whole family should be willing participants! Maybe give it a little more time and bring up the topic again at a later date.

Thanks, I have to admit you're right. It really wouldn't be fair to just of ahead and bring one in spite of the family's input. Good reality check for me!
