Yep, that would be Zeppo.   We have a retractable screen in our sliding glass door and have been using it a lot this summer on these warm afternoons and evenings.  Zeppo dashes into the screen and tears it at the bottom.  Even after repairs, he hasn't learned, so we put up a warning sign for him.  I think he actually knows now that there is a screen up and does not attempt to run through it.  Now for the birds who constantly fly into our windows.

So glad Zeppo can read : )

He is a very smart dog!  Not only can he read, but he also is bilingual.

No, at least trilingual since he knows dog and English too.

rambunctious and doodle are synonyms!!!!  :)

I think you are right.  And he is beyond rambunctious - we think he is a Jackapoo (Jack Russell and poodle).  He climbs trees which I have not seen with any of my other doodles.  He is chipped, licensed, and tagged, and all my neighbors know him.  He seems to escape weekly and someone is bringing him back home.  My new challenge.

HaHa! I have found a gizmo that has two matching shapes with magnets hat stick together thru the screen and they see it every time.

That is pretty cute! I hope his reading comprehension is up to speed!

This is funny.  When we lived in Las Vegas we had really large sliding doors onto the patio/pool area.  On more than one occasion we had guests that ran into the glass doors because they thought they were open.  I finally had to do something similar with a decorative item I hung on a hook on the door so they would know if they were open or shut.  Appears it works for both humans and dogs.

Too funny.

Murph flew through our back screen door a couple days ago....he was actually trying to scare a neighbor away (that's another story).  I now keep a gate in front of it.  There is absolutely no way that we would be able to teach "Big Murph" to read....clearly Zeppo is way smarter....LOL.

Funny Lynda! Funny

On a side note, I had to install a heavy duty guard for my last dog  who was blind and huge so he could not walk out of the screen.  If it works on a 150lb dog, it will work for you.

You get the fresh air and you save the screen

Sounds like Zeppo is an all around Doodle's Doodle. Reading, Running, Climbing. A real dog about town.... literally !
