Can this photo be saved?

This can be an ongoing discussion if folks want it to be. at any rate, sometimes you get a picture you would love to keep but it is seriously flawed. Maybe an editing guru can help. This discusssion came about because Luca was so entranced by something that he actuall climbed into the crotch of a maple tree today to try to get to it. sadly my lens filter was smeared and this photo, also shot into the sun , looks like this.

Add back in a polished sun flare and it will look natural. Nice job, both of you

The bark (on the trees) is fantastic. Maybe Photoshopping the face? Very cute photo to start with and I would spend some time with it, but my time is so limited right now. You are on the right track Tom.
