Not sure what exactly you mean by "leave". I'm going to assume you mean how long he can go without potty. If that is the case we had AnnaBelle's crate right beside our bed on a chest so she was the same height as the bed. She would potty before we went to bed and then if she wimpered during the night I would reach in and try and calm her. If that didn't work I would know she needed to potty. I'm guessing there were maybe 3-4 nights at the most that she didn't go all night. We never got her up to take her out. We let her let us know. Never an accident in her crate at night. Be sure to keep the area she has very small. Just enough that she can turn around. Don't put a bunch of blankets or bedding in there as they get too hot.
exactly--let them wake you--sometimes they will go all night and that is lovely...
Puppy is very cute!
What a cutie!
We would let our pups tell us when they needed to go out. If they would wake we would take them out to go potty. Our boys slept through the night very early on, we were pleasantly surprised.
Your puppy is adorable!
We used a cat carrier in our bedroom and a crate in the living room.
At night I placed the carrier right next to me on a lazy boy chair right next to my pillow. He could see, smell, and hear us. After a month, we moved the crate to our room. He was always with us
I think both our doodles slept through the night after 3-4 nighttimes. They do occassionally need out at night now, but it's usually because we fed late.
I never did offer them to go out. They let you know ;-)
