How long does a big bag of Orijen puppy last you?
Just curious as to how long one big bag of Orijen puppy lasts you?

Depends on size of dog but for 34lb Tenley a 15lb bag lasts me about 40 days. I don't buy the 28.6lb ones because I don't want to be feeding him such old food. He has a lot more interest in a freshly opened bag, even though we keep it in a Vittles Vault anyway!

Interesting, because I bought Charlie's huge bag.., I guess the 28 lb one, on August 13 and he has very little left.

Tenley eats about half a cup twice a day. How much do you feed Charlie?
I am not sure what the recommended feeding is for their size... Probably more than I feed...But Tenley was a little chunky and the 1/2 cup works perfect for him now. -

Charlie is 5 months old, 31 lbs to give you an idea of size

You really do not want to buy more dry food than you can use in a month, unless you can freeze it.
Kate's point is well taken, even if you keep the food in an air-tight storage container, it still doesn't smell like a freshly opened bag, and most dogs are much more interested in eating when the food is fresh.
And the older the food, the higher the chances of storage mites, even in an airtight container.
