It's only been a week, but PetPlay Under the Sea plush toys seems tough so far and she loves them, especially her turtle and squid. I've tossed them in the washer and dryer multiple times already too and they're holding up well.
we got Bentley this toy - it took him a long time to destroy it - we are on our second one now and have had it a long time...

As many of us have labradoodles as you have, I can say anything stuffed or anything plastic/rubber that feels remotely weak should not be bought. Labs are notorious for having powerful mouths and they like to chew inordinately more than other breeds. My yellow lab had to get the largest Nylabones to satisfy her chewing needs. There are also different textures that you can get in toys that will hold up just fine. Don't go with what it says on the package. I've learned to play around with the toy myself and contemplate whether or not I think it can be destroyed easily. You also should assume that it will be destroyed eventually. When it is, will it be safe for your dog?
Also, play to the likes and dislikes of your dog. I've only had my new puppy for about 3 weeks now, but I know exactly what he likes and his strength at this point in his life.
As others have stated, Malu cannot have anything stuffed or soft rubber, even tennis balls he will de-felt them in a matter of a few minutes. I also had that same "ripping sound" toy, I think it took him about 5 minutes to destroy. We like Kongs (although eventually he can destroy these too, depending on the shape), Nylabones (he has been through 3, for most people they will literally last FOREVER), West Paw hard rubber toys (not the skinny S shaped one) https://www.westpawdesign.com/, which also bounce like crazy (doodles love this) and float for our lake days, and StarMark everlasting food puzzles.
Malu spends several hours a day chewing on his various toys (he is almost 5) and we all know the New Doodle will be chewing plenty when we get him next week, so we are stocking up now!
Occasionally I will buy Malu an on sale stuffed animal for a dollar or two, knowing full well it will last about 10 minutes.
