I'm looking for recommendations of bed & breakfasts and apartments with weekend rentals in the Park Slope area of Brooklyn, N.Y.  My son is getting married (yay!), and I'm looking for lodging options for family and friends. Thanks!

Congratulations. Is this the Gigantic Mechanic son? I sadly have no recommendations in Park Slope.

Yes, indeed!  In fact, he was just in Boston for a couple of days working on a Gigantic Mechanic project.

I wish I could help, but just wanted to say congratulations!! What an exciting time for you all! Looks like a busy and fun time ahead getting ready for the wedding! Wishing you all the best!

How nice of you to comment, Janie!  We are beyond excited, and are already immersed in the planning phase.

Hi, I have a condo in P.S....I do not know of any B/B's there....a few hotels tho...one is called Bleu on 4th Ave.
There are so many great little places for brunch etc..your guests will never go hungry. Lots of doggies there also & fair amount of Doodles...however, I think the choice du'jour is YORKIE/PitBull...weird, I know! Mazal Tov on Simcha

My son and future daughter-in-law live in Park Slope, too.  What a beautiful area -- but one without too many lodging options.  How many folks can you accommodate in your condo -- kidding!  Thanks for the suggestions. Maybe we'll see you around the hood :o)

I stayed at Hotel B in Brooklyn back in the spring.  It was a great, very cheap option, a block away from Marcy subway station. But it is only suitable for more adventurous types as it is a hostel with shared facilities and the walls are thin as paper.  I spent an hour over hearing a girl's conversation with her mom about her violin audition.  Some people would hate this.  For me, it was part of the 'experience'.  It was very clean, and the staff very helpful. I loved it and would stay again, since it was only about $50 a night.  But it's not for everyone.

Hi Sherri,  First, belated birthday wishes to you, and I hope that you can find a solution to Winston's ear issues.  I saw your news about becoming a trainer, too -- that's awesome; you'll be a fabulous trainer, for sure.  Thanks for the Brooklyn Hotel B suggestion.  I passed it on to the kids (not really kids!), so that they can add it to their list of places that their guests can stay for their wedding weekend.  Some of their friends might find it to be an attractive option.

Congratulations! How fun, a Brooklyn wedding! My SIL is a real estate developer there, I will ask him.
