One in a million. Ever notice they are like snowflakes in that leaves are diverse. No two are alike. How could you pick a favorite?

Nothing looks like autumn here except for little bits of nature--a leaf or two, and the softening of light.  And that softer light does wonders for things that look ordinary otherwise.  

Here is a photo that I took just a bit after sunrise in my yard.  As Chance was doing his morning business, I spotted some of the morning's first light shining through a few leaves that had fallen from a nearby tree onto a plant.  I wish I had been able to get the leaves a bit crisper, but this image feels like autumn to me even though most of my yard looked totally different!
