12 week old Goldendoodle 75% poodle. Seems to hate (in order) being blow dryed, bathed and brushed. Help!

So I am sort of freiking out reading how to groom the doodle using all the clippers, how long it takes etc. I've only bathed Ollie twice but he sort of freiks out GETTING bathed and when I go to blow dry him .. forget it.. he screams/barks/thrashes. Some tips please!?!

Here are some things that worked for us.  Keep in mind your doodle is still very young.  He will get more and more used to it.  Ours just turned a year, and is much better with baths and actually likes being blowdried.  She used to be afraid of it.

- We had good luck with using shower, holding her so she feels safe, then turning slowly into the water, all the while praising her.  If shower isn't an option, try getting him used to the tub without water in it.  Put a couple treats in there, put him in, praise him, pet him etc.  Do this a few times between now and the next bath.

- go into bathroom with dog and put hairdryer on low on the other side of the room.  Pet him, praise him, treat him.  I think the noise is often what scares the dogs.  They tend to love the air itself (like sticking head out car window).

-With the tub, we found it easier if you can bathe with 2 people-- one is the one doing the bathing, the other is there just to distract and love on the dog.

-Car rides after dog is relatively dry go a long way to get the stubborn wet areas behind the ears much dryer if your doodle likes sticking head out window.

-As for the grooming, we don't do it ourselves, so I don't know what to suggest there.  But the above things have made bathing much easier.

Just keep at it...lots of praise and treats...make it fun!  Don't get frustrated; just laugh it off...brush him everyday and he will get used to it.  Grooming is easy if you keep up on brushing; do it everyday!

I think others have good suggestions but I would like to caution about bathing him too often. Young pups don't need to be bathed every week, or even every other week. Both golden retrievers and poodles, while water retrievers, can have sensitive skin and bathing can dry the skin out. I have a very active adult doodle, and I bathe him only once a month at the most. Just a thought.

Jake is almost 4 years old now and I groom him myself  and he loves it. You havd to have lots of patience . Go slow and praise him.we have brushes and combs beside our chair all the time, we brush him alot and then we used to givehim a treat for being good . Also he has big paws so  when he goes outside we always blow dry  his feet at first he didn't like it but now he looks forward to it lol good luck he'll be find and you'll do a great job.
