We have two beds and Beau prefers to sleep on this one at night.  It is the Brinkman Orthopedic Memory Foam at Petco.  It is 40 x 30 x 6 inches.  We got it when our first doodle Charlie was about 1, so it is 3 years old now.  I have washed and dried the cover many many times and it still looks just like new.  Charlie has slept on our king-size bed since he was 8 weeks old so of course he prefers it over the other beds.  Beau prefers to stretch out on this bed and it has been a very good one.  Beau weighs 45 lbs, and he has long legs.  We also have a large bolster bed we purchased in Phoenix a couple of years ago at Costco.  He only takes naps on that one though.  There are certainly a lot of choices out there - good luck.  The bed above was $69.99, but I see it is on sale right now at Petco for $41.99, which I feel is a good buy!

Finn has an Orvis memory foam bed that I got at an outlet on sale. FInn had dragged around every other bed and chewed them to pieces. We've had this one for 2 years and it's too heavy to drag.  He hasn't tried to chew it, naps on it all the time, and it's worn well.  It's a large (Finn is a large medium labradoodle). The bed looks a lot like Linda's.  But I'd check out the Brinkman first because it sounds very similar and is less expensive.

When they are hot my dogs like to sleep directly on the floor -ours are tile.

My Shelby also chooses the cool tile over any type of bed when she is hot and wants to cool down. Her favorite bed (purchased two years ago now) is this bed from Drs. Foster & Smith.

She loves the bolsters and the bed is heavy - will stay put where you put it. I ordered a large for Shelby (40 lb. ALD) and it gives her enough room to sprawl out! This bed has held up really well and has a removable outer cover so you can wash it.

I wouldn't spend a lot of money on a bed yet until after their chewing stage. Just get something simple for now... Orwell destroyed one of his beds (we didn't see anything wrong with it at first because at least he was chewing that and not us, lol).

We have 2 traditional dog beds, and a Kuranda Bed.  This one is probably the favorite, since it does keep them cool.  And it CAN NOT be destroyed!  Our daughter worked in an Exotic Sanctuary one time and they used these for the lions and tigers!

TJ Maxx always has tons of great dog beds. We have dog beds all over the house and they still love the cool floor when they are hot. Mine like any bed with a bolster and this is Vern's bed we keep in the house so he can dig on it instead of my carpet. It is also supposed to be cooler, but he never sleeps on it.

Thank you all for these great suggestions. Will take a look at all of these and then keep you posted on my decision :) very much appreciate.
One tip I can give you when getting a new bed. The last one I bought Cocoa would not go on at all. So us people sat on it whenever we read or watched TV for a couple of weeks. We then reintroduced it to her, and now it's her favorite bed. I think she just didn't like the original smell!

We LOVE Kuranda beds. Our doodles love them. We also have several orthopedic beds which they enjoy laying on too.
