The bottom pic is me but without the pumpkin. :)
Ha-ha, Ricki, the bottom one is probably way more people then we know !
this is sooo me!
I used to use vegetables: I'd carve a basic face and then add a section of red bell pepper for a big tongue sticking out, pimento stuffed olives for eyes, a carrot for a nose, small slices of bell pepper for ears, parsley or lettuce for hair, etc. Easy to fasten in the facial openings with toothpicks. I wish I had time to find a photo and scan it.
Dang Karen, the vegetables sound great, but more work then I want to put into it. Truth be told, I only draw the faces every year. My husband is the one who really loves the cleaning and carving.
I cheating on cleaning the inside. I took out some of it, and left the rest hanging in there like cobwebs!
I love all of them!
It came out great Linda! I remember that you and your daughter have this tradition, love it!
Thanks Janie.
Linda, I really like your pumpkin. It reminds me of the old time Jack-O-Lanterns I carved as a child! Pumpkin carving by Skype...what's next-Trick or Treating by Skype?? LOL
Haha Ricki. "Old style pumpkins are all I know!" LOL I am going to try a doodle pumpkin next year, but it really remains to be seen! I think Joanne is very creative.
What a cool idea. Great jack-o-lantern.
