When is the new platform coming?

Months ago we heard DK was going to upgrade. We still are having trouble loading photos. Even getting a reply to print is problematic and slow. The gremlins are discouraging us daily. So I've been wondering when things will get better?

Careful what you wish for.  The new format makes me nervous especially for photos.  

Just my fears.  Maybe though, it will be fantastic.  

He said it would be far in the future.

It all seems random.  Some days everything seems to work fine for me, other days not so.  I look forward to the upgrade!

Random here too.  Recently I couldn't reply to photos or comments.  It would kick me back to the main reply block. Hopefully temporary because now it's working ok. Others are having different ongoing problems. I can't even imagine the complexity of redesigning and elevating such a large interactive site with so many functions but is there anything you can tell us in the meantime?

I use Chrome and have had no issues. But I'm also almost always on a PC, not a mobile device.

Karen, I've been using Chrome and a laptop and I have been having a lot of trouble posting comments and replies lately. I keep getting the dreaded pink 'I'm Sorry" box. Sometimes it takes several tries to get a reply to post. This one took 3 attempts. :<( I have to leave the discussion and come back to it each time.

That happens if you start typing in the response box before the page is finished loading. I watch that little spinning circle on the browser tab (sorry if I'm not using the right terminology) before starting a post.

I do know what you mean. But sometimes the reply takes forever to upload. The whole site is very slow and quirky.

I don't use my ipad for DK.  I prefer the pc too (window explorer) and seldom have any issues. I always make sure I keep up with all updates for iphone, ipad and all programs on my pc.

Ditto and ditto. I use chrome and rarely have issues. I always use a PC.

I also think it is the browsers and Flash. Flash has asked to upgrade several times this week and I think they are having issues. Terrible I can see everything fine on FB but not DK\
But photos and chat and plain old text is not the same if you compare FB with DK.

I would rather put up with a little inconvenience from time to time here than go to a format like Facebook
