Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
We were able to see the puppies today, now comes the hard part. Making a decision! We have narrowed it down to two puppies. They both have a wavy fleece coat. The boy is in the top picture and the girl is the second one. The breeder said the boy is a bit more chill but personality wise they are both pretty close. I know we will be happy with either, just thought we would do a poll and get your votes :)
Also, need advice on names. Our family loves certain movies, hence the choices. For a girl, Padme (Star Wars), boy name will be Legolas (Lego for short - Lord of the Rings) or Albus (Al for short - Harry Potter). So, add a vote for the name as well. Join the fun and vote, maybe it will help us decide ;)

I vote boy Lego!!! I love his character in LOTR. The look on his face is incredibly precious.
I always go for the more chill option.
I'm also partial to red-haired boys!! Though they both look like sweetie pies, his face in that picture is seriously adorable! I vote Legolas! "Lego" is an awesome name :)
So Cute! The girl's markings look like our dog Dewey. You can check out our photos of our Dewey on my page to see what she'll grow into. We get tons of comments on his markings, how rare they are, etc. However, having a boy, he is definitely more headstrong than a girl. If you're a gentle family, get the most docile whatever the sex. Have fun! Great names too!
Most of our dogs have been female and they did seem easier to train than the males. If an older dog has an accident in the house the female makes a nice round puddle, the males - not so much. Our Kate pretty much trained herself by going out with the dogs in a week. Our male puggle will come over and to wake me up if he has to go out but he doesn't whine, scratch, bark - just stares. If I don't wake up he goes in the same spot and it is spread over 2-3 feet. Recently we did bell training and the other dogs will use it but he is a little afraid. It was fun to see our male granddogs over and two of the males marking every tree - on 20 acres of woods. : )
We really wanted a girl puppy--which was good because when it came time to pick, Ruby picked us right back.
Either way you will have a beautiful, sweet dog.
They are both so adorable, it would be hard to pick one. I would go with the most chill, though who is to say he will still be chill in 3 months. You never know, personalities can change. I have a little girl and she was shy the day we met her. She tried to hide from us. Now she is the most friendly, outgoing puppy you could ever meet. I have had 2 male dogs, the schnauzer from the breeder was hyper and the golden we got from the rescue at 18 months was very chill around people and kids. He would even let the cat in his dog house. He was a big fraidy cat when it came to thunderstorms and fireworks. He would go hide in our shower til it was over. Our little girl really wants to be the alpha, but she is learning that's not gonna happen. She gets better every day. I'm sure whatever one you choose will be perfect. I love the names especially Lego.
My vote is for the boy and Albus, but just my opinion.
