Somebody posted a way they do it either here or on Facebook. I finally found a store that sells chicken feet, but now I need to know how to dehydrate them correctly. Any ideas?

Not a clue. I'll be interested to hear what others have to say.

I'm a little worried about the bones. I know raw feeders give raw chicken feet, but cooked bones can be dangerous. I don't know about dehydrated bones.

Jeannine smith posted on fb a while back. I am not friends with her though, I believe in may have been in the doodle family group...

I just messaged Jeannine asking about it.

Thanks, Karen.

Thanks, Tanya. It could have been the post I've seen.

I found dried chicken and duck feet at a local natural dog food store and bought the boys a couple of duck feet. They loved them. I just want to figure out whether I can do this cheaper with my dehydrator. Asian supermarkets sell fresh chicken and duck feet.

Interesting idea.  I've also bought the duck feet for the dogs.  It seems like they were around $.79 each.  It no doubt would be much cheaper to prepare yourself.  Have you tried google?

I tried google, and got all the crazy raw feeding websites, lol.

Here's Jeannine's recipe:

"We just take them raw, wash them, strain the water off, then dehydrate for 24 hours. After 24 hours we put them on a cookie sheet in oven at 200 degrees for about an hour just to kill any bacteria, then we store them in dry white rice to make sure they stay crispy.

The rice acts like one of those moisture absorber packets.

It's really not necessary but when we make we usually make a really really big batch."

Yup, that's the one I read on FB. Thank you so m

Thank you Karen we are going to try this recipe also! thank you to Jeannine for sharing :)

So I ended up getting duck feet at a local a\Asian supermarket. Whole bunch for $5.

I'm also happy to report that I was smart enough to dehydrate them in the garage. Yuck! They are in their final stage of preparation in the oven. Boy, what all are we willing to do for our doodles....
