Do these puppies have a wool or fleece coat?

Hi Doodle lovers! I'm buying a Sheepadoodle puppy and am having difficulty deciding between two pups. I prefer the shaggy look as opposed to the poodle look in an adult dog. One of the pups appears to have a wavy coat that I'm thinking will be more shaggy when he grows up and the other one has a curlier coat that I'm thinking will end up being more poodle like. I'd like to get some of your opinions as to whether you think I'm correct in this evaluation? Thanks so much for your time!...Donna Lee

Here's a second vote for that "wash and wear" wool coat.  I think that is what my Webster has - it's a wonderful coat.  He doesn't shed (at least not more than me - lol!) and he doesn't mat.  The clippers slide through his hair like silk.  I didn't want the curly look but his coat is much lower maintenance than my shaggy girl, Tessa.

It's so hard to tell at this age.  You can have a spiral fleece that's wavy or curly and soft, a coarser wool curl that's more like a poodle or a combination of wave and curl. So if you like the softer feel, I'd go with the coat texture if there's a marked difference rather than wave or curl.  That said, coats can change but temperament is priceless.  I'm betting that when you go back to see these two, the one that jumps in your lap and looks at you with adoring eyes and smiles is the one that goes home with you.  They have a way of picking you!

I understand you're huge on coat texture but personality is huge and should be first! A REAL breeder holds your deposit, lets you pick at the earliest 6 weeks and goes in deposit order regardless of advertisement! Red flags are every where here. My English Goldendoodle had a straight coat at 6 weeks. He's curly around his neck amd wavy every where else. Sorry to be forward but it's a toss up. The left one looks more like what you're looking for.
