Was wondering what size you guys would guess my goldendoodle pup would be as he gets older?

Hi guys I was just wanting your opinions on my puppies future size. I know its hard to tell for sure I was just wondering what you guys thought. My pup weighed 10 lbs @ 6 weeks. His mom (goldendoodle) weighs 65lbs and dad (standard poodle) weighs 55lbs. My pup was one of the smallest in the litter. The breeder said he wouldn't get as tall as the mom since the dad was a smaller standard poodle. I hope he at least has his head go up to my thigh. So I'm a little worried he will only have his head go to my knee.
I know there is a sizing chart with weight but I'm not sure how they use it. Or if it even works.

Many doodles end up bigger than either parent. Your breeder's comment that he won't get as tall as his mom since his dad is a smaller Standard Poodle is incorrect genetically. (Also, 55 lbs is not small for a Standard Poodle. That's the average weight for males, according to the Standard Poodle breed standard). The size of the grandparents can a role in height too.  He could very well end up larger than his mom. There is really no way to know with mixed breed dogs, but I'm willing to bet that his head will be considerably higher than your knee, lol.

He is adorable whatever height he ends up and I'm betting that whenever that is you won't mind what height he is at all :)

No idea as to size, but he is absolutely adorable.

OMG, he is sooooooooooo cute!!! He kinda looks like our little guy. Our puppy just turned 5 weeks yesterday. He weighed in at 7.1lbs. His parents (mom is standard goldendoodle/dad is standard poodle) are pretty big. I too am curious as to how big our pup will grow.

How much does he weigh now?
Thanks. :-) We bring him home in 3 weeks. He'll be 8 weeks old. Can't wait!!
I'm wondering, what size collar you are using on him now? I'm trying to figure out what size I should get for our homecoming. :-)
When I weigh Gracie, I weigh myself w/o her and then myself holding her. If that's how you are weighing your pup - I'd say you need a new scale. :)
My vet's scale doesn't seem to weigh her right though because she is hopping around on it and the numbers fluctuate so much - I always wonder how accurate that could be. Lol
Ah. Ok. Yeah. The last time I took Gracie to the vet they said she was like 13 lbs and I had already weighed her in at almost 16 lbs in my scale. Today she weighed in at 21 lbs! She's 11 weeks today!
How old is he?
That's funny. I'm sure he's gained in 2 weeks, you're right, your scale is probably off. Thanks for the collar info. I was looking at the medium. Maybe I'lll just get a small and medium and return the one I do not use.
:-). Thanks.

I'd check with your breeder before buying one - a lot of breeders send the puppies home with a collar on!

I bought a small and a medium (the pet store had them 75% off at Christmas), and the small is perfect! Otis is 14 pounds, if that helps.
Hi Sosa, we got Gracie a small. It was a little big, but worked well. I'm going to have to start expanding it soon. But, it should be a good collar for her for at least a few more weeks. Gracie was 9lbs 6oz when we brought her home.
