Anyone else experiencing a bit of a setback with crate training after losing an hour. Ace is definitely going through a period of adjustment. We have a routine with naps and bedtime and going to bed an hour earlier since Sunday has been a bit of a challenge for him. He never cries when he goes in his crate, then all of a sudden, when the time changed, he gets fussy when we lock him in. I know I'm still adjusting, so I'm assuming he's feeling the same as we are.

At 6 years old, Tara still has trouble adjusting to the time changes-spring and fall. She has a definite routine she likes to follow and that includes what time is bed time! So when bed time gets adjusted forward or backward it really throws her for a while. She does adjust though just as we do and  your baby will too. :)

We had issues when she was around that age, but this time around wasn't as bad for her or us. At first, I wasn't sure why she was all of the sudden crankier and then I looked up to see if dogs had issues with DST. I remember seeing this comic: https://www.offthemark.com/image/data/cartoons/2008-11-03B.gif

We also tried adjusting her in increments rather than the full hour. Over a few days should be okay.

That comic is hilarious!!!

LOVE IT!

That is SO funny!

It will pass! Winnie has done fine this Spring, but last Fall was another story. Every morning at 5:00am she was up on the bed, staring down at me, trying to convince me that it WAS 6:00am. On about the 5th morning of this madness I took this picture....it's hard to get upset with cuteness... :-)

Awwwwww!!!! No you cannot get upset with that face. :-)

Luckily, we AND our dogs are retired and we keep an irregular schedule for meals and bedtime, and we have a doggy door that is open 24/7.   Love retirement!

Oh, I so wish we had a doggy door. :-)

My guys were the same way as puppies...now it doesn't phase them.  Just give it a week and they'll be back to normal.

Good to know. :-)

We refer to our pup right now as the Daylight Savings Dog.  He's 1.5years and also has trouble calming down for his new "earlier" bedtime.  The last few nights we've worked hard to tire him out with longer walks, more fetch etc so he'll crash earlier.  Each night is getting a little better.  I'd maybe suggest trying to tire out your cutie a little more than ususal so going to bed isn't such a challenge.  Hang in there, he'll get on the new schedule soon enough.
