Hi Kerryn,
Breeder recommendations and reviews are not permitted here in the open forums. People can send you a PM if you accept a friend request from them.
If you haven't already read What to Look for In a Breeder, please read it and use it as a guideline for any breeder you consider. These are the minimum standards you should require. If anyone can't measure up, walk away. Most important is proof of genetic health testing of the parents, and the breeder's health guarantee.

Good luck in your search for your next companion.
No apologies necessary. :)
I think you will get a truer information from people who are not breeders and have nothing to gain from your buying a dog. Use the article, I cannot emphasize that enough.
Yes you did not break any rules asking for info. Karen posts more as a reminder to others to take their responses privately and for you to know to expect private messages and as such 'friend requests' so people can message you.
Exactly.
Good luck in your search and my condolences on the loss of your Golden. We also lost a senior Golden over 2 years ago and the reason why our girl Enzo is here. Never a replacement, but sure does help fill the empty hole left behind.
I think it's important to mention that not all Goldendoodles shed very little, though. :)
So many people come to DRC looking for a dog with the temperament/personality of a Golden and the non-shedding of the Poodle. But genetics don't work that way. Which parent's temperament, coat, coloring, size, intelligence, etc any individual puppy may get is completely random, just like with humans. Many, many doodles take after their Poodle parents & grandparents in temperament. Many, many Goldendoodles do shed, some as heavily as their Retriever ancestors. A Goldendoodle is not a non-shedding version of a Golden Retriever, which is what so many breeders' websites seem to imply.
