These photos don't even look real. I wonder if anyone is really doing this; let's see a photo of the whole dog,  maybe from the side, with background around the head, rather than just a head shot. I don't believe this is trend anywhere, even in Taiwan, lol.

Over the years, I have watched videos and read a lot of grooming techniques because I do groom myself.

A good artist will show/ teach  you the line....  cut here straight, cut here curved, etc.

So, I kind of get this new style. Funny, my bad lines and curves  have actually made my dog look like this on many occasions. 

These really do not bother me.   They are not traditional, but the dogs are clean, groomed, healthy.  What bothers me most are the homeless ones that are not.   These do leave out the cute factor  the rounded, soften edges give to a groom.  

I follow a poodle group and the non-traditional hairstyles of the Standard Poodles are stunning.

Spud's Top is super long and crazy, corded,  but unlike above, I trimmed his ear line real short.  It works for him and I just love it

I hate blunt lines or overly rounded anything on my dogs when it comes to grooming.  In fact if I remember I ask the groomer to layer ears and everything on the head.  No to the topiary look please!
