Monty likes the stinky fish treats which cost a million dollars per pound.  I made this up as I went along and it went like this.

2 cans of salmon cleaned of course, save the water for the recipe, they love that stinky stuff! I put the salmon in the chopper and turned it into a paste like mixture.  4 small baby food containers of pureed carrots, 6 eggs and enough wheat flour to make a doughy substance.  I have struggled to find a quick way to make the pieces but, this is how I do it.  Put a blob of dough on a pan sprayed cookie sheet, take a thin spatula and just break it up into pieces. I baked mine at 350 for 12 minutes.  It came out sorta soft. You could bake it harder of course.  I bag them up into the snack bags, double bag and put it in the freezer. I figure I have many months of treats for Monty for little money and a bit of time.......AND I KNOW WHAT'S IN THEM! :)

These sound awesome!

please reply if Jackdoodle likes them, I'm thinking he will.  Monty is spoiled for sure.  I did some dehydrating thru the winter when we had the wood stove going.  I'm getting so paranoid about treats, not the mention the cost, it cost much much less to do a big batch of homemade stuff.

What a great idea! I'm going to try this this weekend - betting the boyz will love 'em!

let me know how you make out.  really its not a science,  make it the way it works our for ya! The cost is so much less and we know whats in it. I hope your doggers like it.

Yum, I think the boys would love them. They love the dried fish skins by Honest Kitchen. I think I'm going to try this with tuna...and I think I'm going to use gluten free flour so that I can have a taste as well. :-)
