The last three days, Cooper (16 weeks) woke up at 6:20 a.m.! I never thought this day would come and it seemed too good to post this but I waited until he did it for three straight days! I believe giving him more room in his crate had something to do with it. I noticed he likes to stretch out during the day on the wood floor when he naps, so we decided to give him a lot more room in his crate so he can stretch out at night. He seems to be potty trained and has only once peed in his crate around 10 weeks (I don't even know when that happened because by the time I found it, it was dried up.) We also took out the cushion and just gave him sheets to sleep on and his puppy stuff animal. He seems to like his new bedding a lot and it's sooo much easier to tell him to go in his crate at night! He used to not want to go in!
Just wanted to share in case anyone might want to try giving their puppy a little more room...it might help them sleep longer!

What awesome news!!
I read this last night and immediately gave Henly a little more space :-) She's 13 1/2 weeks so a little younger than Cooper.
Actually, it was time to give her more space but we had a couple of bouts of diarrhea and I was hesitant...wanting to make sure the diarrhea did not return. Even with diarrhea, she never soiled in her crate.
The night before Henly slept til 5:50am and last night she made it to 5:55am (those extra 5 minutes I'm attributing to the extra space - haha!)
We're up at 6am so 5:55am is perfect!!
Sorry about the diarrhea but glad she's over it!
Oh goodie! Yes, I know what you mean...5 minutes is a BIG deal for us too! lol I hope she'll add another 5 minutes for you tomorrow morning! :)
