How to Tag photos for slideshows (by Joanne~ Spud)

I know we have quite a few new members and maybe there are some of the older members as well that don't know how to "tag" photos. Joanne (Spud) was nice enough to put in the hard work to show everyone step-by-step instructions (with pictures) on how to do it (Thank you Joanne!).

Next slideshow Theme is Water Doodles and will start on July 18th. The tag is: water15            Please remember it IS case sensitive. Please TRY to get your photos in by July 17 (Friday night) If not I will update the slideshow to include new additions over the weekend.

Im working on a list for new themes so any suggestions are welcome!

What happened to the Happy Tongues slide show? I thought it was this week's theme but I'm still seeing Patriotic Doodles?

They may not go completely.  But since I've given up the task to Lori and Joanie and they can't access the administrative functions of the front page.  But I may move some things around so I can embed it there.

I feel it is really special when someone opens Doodle Kisses for the first time, they see Doodles at their finest.  Hopefully it can be worked out!  Besides it is an easy page to get to and sometimes our newbies have trouble maneuvering DK!

Adina ~ just my two cents for what it is worth - I do not like this new format at all and I think it is confusing for newbies.  If I wanted to view the tongues entries, I do not see a link to it other than the link in Joan's "how to tag" discussion.  Am I missing something?  Will it be at the top of the discussion list or where can we find it quickly.

Maybe you could try something with colors like Adina did with "Black". For instance "Orange" could be with orange flowers, pumpkins, toys, carrots or whatever fun ideas come to mind.  The same with other colors.

I protest...I want the slide show back on the front page or Vern and Fudge are headed to Walla Walla to protest in person!!! Truly, I won't even look for a discussion somewhere lost on DK with a slide show in it, but put it on the front page and I love to see all the Doodles.

Totally agree.  Very few people will look for the slide show in a discussion, and even fewer of us with bother to submit images.
