DIARRHEA!

I know there are a lot of discussion on this topic but at the moment I don't have time to browse it.  I know I have to give him pumpkin I think...

Cooper just had a really bad diarrhea.  This morning he had a solid stool but was loose afterwards.  Then just now, about 3 hours later he had a super loose watery stool.  Luckily he waited until I came back home and he rushed out the back door to his potty area.

(1) Do I need to call the vet?

(2) Should he still have his normal lunch?

(3) Give him pumpkin? Where can I buy that and what kind?

(4) No treats or peanut butter right?

I don't know what he ate wrong but last night he had a few bites of BBQ pork chop we had for dinner.  If he had diarrhea at 9:30 a.m., about during which meal the day before do you think made him sick?

Cooper just had his dinner and went potty #2. It wasn't watery. It was loose but still has it's form. I'm hoping it's just the tail end of it. He is acting normal so I think he'll be ok! :) I gave him a few teaspoon of the plain yogurt for snack. He loved it! I froze the rest in cupcake holders (learned it from this forum lol). He can enjoy it frozen tomorrow! Thank you guys for responding to my worries :)

That just happened to us and our dogs. We started them on boiled rice and chicken right away. About 2 cups each a day. Karen on here suggested sweet potato instead of rice, and our vet suggested cous cous.

If the diarreah continues:
- You can get a fecal float done at the vet. The stool has to be fresh ( within 6 hours)
- Decline the metronidazole, and get panacure instead.
- sanitize everything w a bleach solution, wipe after they use the restroom. If it's a bug they could catch it again

Thank you for the information. I will keep all that info for future reference in case if Cooper ever gets diarrhea again (fingers cross!) He only went potty #2 once after the awful diarrhea this morning. He's asleep now, tomorrow should be a fresh start! :)
