Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Ok, I know this is a long shot but a Mom has to try. While looking for pictures of my girls with their favorite toy, I came across quite a few of Pippa with her very favorite...Bumblebee. She absolutely loves the bees! She has one in her mouth at all times. She takes it outside for her potty breaks and comes right back in with it.

Once in a while she drops it and comes back inside the house without it. Before long I hear a high pitched bark at the back door and know she has remembered her forgotten bee. I open the door and off she goes to rescue it.

Those poor bees are looking pretty awful! They came out of a Hide-a-bee toy. I hate how bad they look but she chooses that bee before all her other (many other) toys. I have contacted the company in an effort to buy replacements. They have since changed the look and style of the bees and don't have any old stock left. The old bees were a plastic cylinder that squeaked (ours quit squeaking long ago). The new bees are fatter and have more of a stuffed body like the one in the middle below.

Pippa could hardly wait for me to get done taking their picture so she could get her favorite bee again.

On the off chance that someone has this toy and their dog does not love it like Pippa does, I am making this plea. Please help me! I am seriously willing to pay for any bees in better shape than the sad ones I already have. Name your price.

Pippa, you are just so cute.  I wish I had one to send but don't.  I'll be on the lookout too.

Thank you Cheryl!

Thanks Lori but No, those are the newer stuffed ones :-(

Could you open them and remove the stuffing?

Sorry Lori, I don't have any bees, just squirrels.  If I come across it, I'll let you know.  Pippa is so....beautiful and elegant looking.  Is she a doodle?  She looks almost like an English Cream Golden Retriever.  It's so cute that she's attached to that bee! :)

Awww thanks for the sweet words! Yes, Pippa is actually an F1b mini English Cream GoldenDoodle. There were three in her litter of eight that looked like her. The others were more traditionally "Doodly". I picked her because I love Golden Retrievers and she is just a tiny version of one. She only weighs 35 lbs.

You picked the perfect one out of the litter! I also LOVE Golden Retrievers. They're actually my dream dog. I had always wanted one and even found a reputable breeder to get it from. Then we met our friend's labradoodle up north and I fell in love. Lol If it wasn't for the shedding, I would have still preferred a Golden Retriever. So you got the best of both worlds! Pippa looks like a retriever but doesn't shed just like a doodle! :). She looks a lot bigger than 35lbs in picture. Cooper is 38 at 7.5 months so she is about his size now.
We lost our beloved Golden Retriever, Chloe, to bone cancer a few years ago. When we were ready for another dog, we got a Doodle because my DH didn't want to have to live with all that hair again. Lucy and Daphne don't shed but Pippa does. She is much smaller than a Golden though so it's not that bad. And her shedding is still nowhere near what it would be with a full blooded Golden.

I love these pictures of Pippa and her beloved bees.  I feel Pippa's pain.  Our Gordie loved his fuzzy ball and took such good care of it. We stockpiled them for a while just in case - just in case we got a Clancy,  I guess (who destroyed them all). Sadly they quit making them out of the same fuzz.

Thanks Nancy! If I had known there would bee (lol) a change, I would have stockpiled them too. But of course then she wouldn't like them..haha

Sorry Asta doesn't have any.  But that is so adorable.
