Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

Hello fellow doodle lovers. Tonight my daughter pointed out a small ⅛" round, raised, smooth, burgundy colored growth, just on the outside rim of our much loved, Pierre's lower lid, near the outside corner. His lower rims are outlined in black, and that is where I see it. The other eye is fine. He is not paying any attention to it. It is not blocking his vision.

I took a Q-tip with cold water on it to examine it. Pierre did not complain. But when I told him I wanted to look at it again in the bathroom, he retreated. He understands English so well, it is uncanny at times. He is 5 years old and a big, white, huggable dude.

Does anyone have a clue what it may be and how to proceed? Do I take him to a regular vet or travel to an eye specialist? He is going to the groomer in two days. Is it contagious? Thank you for reading this.

It is ImpossiBle to sy sight unseen. I would take him to the regular vet first. Good luck.

I agree with F, have your regular vet take a look.

Thank you for responding so quickly. I will call the vet first thing in the morning.

My daughter thinks I should find a vet to date, Lol. Pierre has me going for visits often at times.

:-)
Oh that's so cute! I hope your puppy is ok!

Thank you everyone. This morning the growth is flat and a pinker color. It seems to be disappearing :-)

We are watching it, and will see if it goes away as quickly as it came.
