Another "Turned into the sissiest poodle" dissaster

Seriously, the groomer just turned this super cool labradoodle:

Into this super fru-fru Queen Victoria-ish/Japanese Poodle:

All I wanted was this regular dog short, simple cut:

Now, if you'll excuse me, I need to go buy a Gucci purse so I can be seen in public with him.

Yeah, I don't like the poufy look on Jaxson either. But you're right, it goes back to normal after a day or so! Copper is a cutie either way!

Oh you're too nice! I couldn't look at him without laughing when my husband brought him home. Poor guy. Lol next time I will definitely tell them not to touch his head. They did a good job the rest of his body.

OK, so he does look kinda like a sissy, but he is still very handsome! Spritz him down, let him roll in the grass a little, and he won't be quite so queen-like....

He is adorable.  Chance always looks like a poodle after he is groomed and returns to full doodleness about a week later.

LOL. He is still very handsome and looks quite pleased with himself. I will never own a Gucci Purse as I don't have an adequate area to groom Hutley myself. Thank goodness I found a groomer who knows how to groom doodles.

I, too, think he's adorable either way, but I understand how you feel. It's not the cut you wanted. Spritzing will help bring back the curl, but you still won't have that short even cut you were looking for. BTW, a short, even cut is probably the easiest one to do yourself as there's little to no blending or comb/blade changes to do (referring to a clipper cut). Love your sense of humor with the disappointment :-)

My interpretation of a proper doodle cut is pretty much exactly the way your doodle turned out, with the legs a bit longer than the body, and the leg length starting at the hip. The top of the head could be more rounded, but otherwise a perfect doodle cut to me. Personal preference is what's important, though.

I took Annabelle to a new groomer 2 weeks ago. She looked like a French poodle when I picked her up.We called her Fifi for 2 days. She thought she looked cute though. I should have taken pictures, but at the time I didn't think I wanted any reminders of it. Then 2 days later we got caught in the rain and she was back to her old self.
