As I explained in some other post in the grooming group, our Apollo got a hair cut.

He looks super thin to me. Is that normal? I know poodles look super skinny, but still I just wanted to check.

He looks super to me too. As long as your vet is happy with your dog's weight a thinner dog is better than an interview very eight dog.

As a lifelong poodle owner and lover, I have to tell you that the "sissy" stuff is flat out wrong. Poodles are about as athletic as any breed out there, for sure a lot more athletic than Retrievers. But that's a different topic, lol.

I don't think he looks too skinny at all; I think his body condition looks perfect. If you're concerned, you might ask the vet next time you;re there.

He looks great. Gavin looks just the same when he is cut short. Better a little light than a little heavy.

Looks like some decent muscle definition in your picture
He looks amazing! If you are concerned ask your vet. But he looks like a fine looking dood to me! By the way I LOVE that collar!!!
Thanks! Made it myself with paracord.

He looks fantastic. Every summer we shear Lexi down, and we are always shocked at how trim she is. But boy is she strong and athletic. She looks a lot like this, and our vet says she is perfect. We feed mostly raw, and it is very hard to measure exactly, so we go by the vet's advice. You want to be able to feel your dogs ribs through a layer of skin / fat. If you can see individual ribs (and there is no layer), the dog is too thin. If you can't feel any ribs, your dog weighs too much. Also if your dog is happy and not begging for food all the time, I'd assume he's just fine. We always know when we aren't feeding enough because she tells us! Of course, check in with your vet at your next appointment if you are nervous.
