Oh goodness, she is so adorable! I like the name Callie for a girl but that is my neighbor's dog's name so I can't use it. So jealous you only have two weeks left. Mine should be born any day now:)
What an adorable pup! You must be so excited.
I think names are a very personal choice; everyone's associations with a name are different. I've heard recommendations like don't make the name too similar to commands you are going to use (so a dog named Mo might have trouble with the command 'No'.) And you may not want to name your dog something you might feel awkward about (such as Stupid. Yes, I heard of one family that named their cat Stupid because it tripped over the door threshold, and fell off of just about anything it climbed on.)
I've heard that Hard consonants (b, k, d, t) are easier to hear and distinguish than soft consonants (f, s, m, n). So a dog might be able to hear the name of Duke better than Sam.
I love to hear dog names that mean something special to the owner.
Congrats on picking your new pup!
What a small world! I was on ILP but now mostly on Clickin Moms.
Photography is like a rollercoaster for me. I go through these obsessive phases and slumps. Currently, I'm in a slump and hardly picking up my camera. Hopefully my new pup will be my muse and I'll get out of it. :)
