My hubby created quite a stir around here when he decided to cool a pot of beef gravy outside on top of our grill. It slipped off due to ice and spilled gravy all over the snow in the backyard. Our doodle, Mattie, thought she'd died and gone to heaven! I tried to disperse it and mix it with snow, so that she'd at least be eating diluted gravy, but all that snow didn't bother her any! For the next few hours, she was constantly asking to go out--barking, staring at us, even jumping on our door, which is unusual for her. I kept an eye on her and only let her out for a few minutes now and then.
The next day she was at it again, although there were only a few crumbs of "gravy snow" left. A problem arose when she got so involved in the gravy snow that she apparently forgot to do her business on all those trips outdoors--and she was also eating all that snow! I was at work and my husband doesn't really pay attention to whether or not she gets any business done when she's outside, so...I found a little puddle on the floor when I got home. That's a first for Mattie--I'm sure glad the gravy snow is all gone now!
That is a riot!!! Mazie would seriously have lost her doggy mind! She LOVES to eat snow, so I cannot even begin to imagine how much she would love gravy snow!
