About a week ago I learned this new term "Velcro dog" from Jess, Loki, and Moose. I loved it so much and it describes Orwell perfectly.

I thought we could all post pictures of our Velcro dogs doing what they do best-- being Velcro.

Orwell and I are stuck inside today because it's really stormy here in the Portland area. We are both kind of bored, so I took pictures of him being Velcro. He's needy, but I love him for that. I'm needy too.

Also thought it'd be nice for you all to see updated pictures. He just got his hair cut on Friday.

Settling down for his nap while I work.

This is after I whispered his name so you could see his face.

I feel like Orwell knows when and when not to alarm us about possible danger. Sometimes when he is outside, the neighborhood kids are out there, but he couldn't care less. He watches them sometimes because it is fun for him. He absolutely loves kids.

Some dogs just bark at every thing that doesn't go according to their plan. I think Orwell is smart enough to discern a real threat and a non threat. I have to admit I feel really safe walking with him by my side. He's a big cuddle bear, but no stranger knows that.

I love Orwell's unique coloring--what a cutie!

Thank you. (:

Beasley is my velcro dog.  Eloise is definitely a supervisor and has moments of velcro-iness, but Beasley is all-day, every day.  Neither of these are good pictures, but they perfectly illustrate Beasley and her need to be near me.  Lays right down across the laptop sometimes (though here she didn't actually go across my lap...there have been a few times when I'm shoving her back off the keyboard, lol)

And if she's not on the floor somewhere within a five foot radius of me, she's next to me on the couch.

So sweet. These cream/white doodles look so soft. I know my boy is just as soft, but the lighter color really highlights the texture of the coat better.

I can tell Orwell is so soft - his fur looks just like Eloise's does when she gets a haircut.  It's the softest thing ever!  And then Beasley is just a big puffball.  I call them my fluffernutters. :)

Haha... my aunt calls Orwell a fuzz-bucket.

I love that term "velcro dog"! I have five of them. LOL! They are all laying around my desk as we speak. We sleep together and they follow me around all day. I am never alone. Not even in the bathroom. :-) I managed to catch this picture the other day. You can only see four, number five was at my feet. (please excuse the mess)

I am guilty of letting Orwell into the bathroom with me at times too. If someone else is around me, I make him wait outside, but he is never happy about it, lol.

Picco is a velcro dog too!  When he eats, he'll get a mouthful but come back to the living room and eat it where he can see me, gets some more and come back (and dropping food along the way).   It's sweet but sometimes I have to go away for work and he mopes all the time and lays next to my bed. I had to tell my husband not to say anything to me about it when I called home......too much guilt!

Haha. Orwell's food bowl is in the laundry room. I stay with him while he eats because if I leave he looks so conflicted.

Orwell also knows my name, so mom cannot say my name in front of him if I'm on the phone or if she calls for me while he's outside because he goes absolutely nuts.
