I switched from Taste of the Wild (roasted fowl) to Acana.  I didn't realize that Taste of the Wild was also a grain free food until I just looked at the label.  After over a week of trying to gradually introduce Ellie to Acana, she still doesn't like it at all.  I know she is hungry!  At her last check up in Sept., the vet said she needed to lose 5-10 pounds so I have drastically reduced treats when I leave her alone.  Is grain free better if she needs to lose a few pounds?  She is getting a lot more exercise now that it's cooler here and I know it will take consistency and a little time but I'm not sure what to feed her now.  Her vet. naturally recommends Science Diet since he sales it.  Any advice and suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would try a different flavor from the Acana line. There are a few my girls don't like. I usually feed orijen adult but to mix it up I throw in a bag of Acana every couple months. The last bag they choked down. This time I bought the Pacifica and they are inhaling it!
