One year later....

Doesn't get much cuter than this little guy!  I was thinking today about how far we have come.  A year ago I was in the thick of puppy madness and wondering if the nipping and potty training would ever come to a happy end.  Thinking back so many of the little issues we had were resolved quickly and everything really does work out.  Just wanted to give all new puppy owners some hope.  Albus is the sweetest dog and an amazing addition to our family.  I was worried about bringing home a dog to four small kids (ages 4-13) and wondered if I was crazy.  Now, I can't imagine life without him.  He really has been such a great companion to the kids and they love his endless licks and cuddling after they have had a tough day at school.  Grateful he joined our family when he did.

Oh yes...I think many of us went through all that nasty biting, nipping, jumping ... and let the dog in and let the dog out craziness.  They DO settle down.  When Skadi was close to 6 months it was like someone flipped a switch inside her and FiNally she settled down.  There is HOPE!

This post made my day! I have the same four (5-13) and have felt a little nutty lately! Like I'm going to lose my mind haha! But I'm in love with our Rosie and I keep telling myself... it'll get easier, and better! So thank you for sharing this. And my goodness what a beautiful looking dog! I almost wonder if mine will look like that at a year!

We all have to go through the crazy puppy stage. It goes fast believe it or not. I just
always tried to remember I was raising the puppy to become the dog I wanted to spend many years with.
