Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

We just brought our Daisy home on Wednesday and couldn't be any more excited. Our breeder had narrowed our search down to two pups. One we "thought" we wanted, she was smaller, 7lbs and the apricot color, but we instantly feel in love with our Daisy, she was larger then we intially wanted and not the color we thought we preferred, but she instantly came up to my 3 yr old and was curious about her, but not over excited...almost as if she was telling us "Pick Me!" So we knew then she was the one! But now like most, your wonder, "Where is the Poodle in my Doodle?" I looked around and couldn't find a similar Goldendoodle pup so figured I'd post and see everyone's thoughts, like everyone else, regardless how she turns out you are already in love, but will she Poodle out at all? Seems to be more Retriever....thoughts?

That is one of the best looking pups I have seen.  And the fact that it picked you (your daughter) out is a huge plus.  I would hope she doesn't doodle out as I am not a fan.  But, at this early age it is so hard to tell.  She could be a fluff ball.... or smooth coat or like ours.... very weird with patches of hair here and there.  Love these dogs no matter how they look.  Keep us posted and update this thread in several months.

omg she is adorable.  I would guess that there are spots on her that might be a little wavy (like her chest or back) in the future but otherwise she'll look mostly like a retreiver

it doesn't look like she'll have much of a doodley beard or face

I don't think Daisy will have the "Doodley" face. She doesn't have any of the facial furnishings but she is absolutely adorable! I have my girl Pippa who looked very much like Daisy as a young pup. Now she looks like a small Golden Retriever. You can see many photos of her on my page. Just click on my name or picture.

She is absolutely adorable! I think she will be more retriever, but from what I've learned on here is that their coats can change pretty drastically in a year's time. Our Ollie didn't have a beard when we first got him, but it's starting to grow in and his facial furnishings are becoming more prominent.
