Gracie was just lying on the floor and vomitted. There was no wretching. I read this could be regurgitation of food.

Just wondering what I should look for as far as whether or not I should worry.

This morning her bowel movement was normal. I will ask my husband about her afternoon bm.

She was outside prior to this running around the yard and might have picked something up that she shouldn't have. There were a few rabbit turds and food from her morning feeding. We have wild rabbits all over. Ugh!
She ate normally at 6:30 am. I'm supposed to feed her right about now, but we will be skipping today. She also had some zukes when she was outside which I did not see in her vomit. Sh thes to inhale them, so maybe one got stuck in the wrong area?

She had her vaccinations on Friday, but I can't imagine it is related, just throwing this out there.

Thanks.

Regurgitation is passive and the food looks pretty much like it did when it went in, i.e. digestion had not yet begun. It does sound like regurgitation rather than vomiting. But she wouldn't have digested the Zuke's treats and not her food from this morning. It's also very unlikely that one "got stuck" anywhere.

It's hard to say what may have caused this. I'd keep an eye on her and if anything seems "off" or if she brings up anything else, I'd get her in to see a vet. If she did ingest something else that's still sitting in there, that needs to be dealt with ASAP.

I would also not allow her to be unsupervised in the yard, so that she can't eat rabbit poop or anything else she shouldn;t.

Most of the food minus the rabbit turds was digested. There was some still formed pieces of dog food. Maybe she chewed the zukes and didn't suck them down like normal? Because I didn't see any. But, that doesn't mean they weren't there (Ew).
The reason I said regurgitated is because she just opened her mouth and it came out. No wretching. I was trying to see if the rabbit turds could cause it and articles regarding the differences of vomiting vs regurgitation came up. One that was talking about it said they found a piece of bone lodged in the throat and the dog had been regurgitating.
Anyway, I totally agree about her being unsupervised - my hubby does not heed my advice about this. ;)
