The first photo is at 12 weeks. the other one at the bottom is at 8 weeks when we got him home for the first time.

I think he'll look doodely because i can see "furnishings" starting to grow on his face. Adorable puppy!

Thanks Sally!

We also think so. His face is long like a poodle, and of course long legs. We would love if he doodles out but he is a darling to us anyways. My three year old daughter is inseparable from him already.

see if others reply, but it looks to me like you have a flat coat doodle.

Which will look more like the golden retriever than poodle.  There are many benefits to having the flat coat hair: easy to brush and maintain. less dirt debris getting stuck in the curls. (snow, mud, etc.) plus you get the beautiful look of the retriever without the constant shedding of hair.

look at that face!!! a professional model already!!!

Thank you. As of now he sheds quite a bit. I don't know what he is gonna look like but whatever he would be would not change anything. He is so much fun.

My guess is that because of the amount of fur on his cheeks and in between his eyes that he will get Doodly. At this point it's just a guess. Give it a month and you will be able to tell the future a bit better...Lol!

Thanks for your comment. Sometimes he looks like he is going to doodle out and next moment looks like he is gonna have a flat coat. we are confused, but loving this guess game. :)

I think he will be what I call a "sporty" coat - not much curl, not very long but with the beard and moustache - as opposed to a flat retriever coat (without furnishings). His hair looks a little wiry but looks like some "walrus tusks" showing a developing moustache :-)  I've seen a couple of these and they are very handsome dogs.

HIs moustache really developed in last two weeks. Only time will tell what he looks like as a grown up. Thanks for the comment though :)

Sweet face.  One thing good about shedding is that coat care is usually much easier than it is with those that do not shed. What a cutie!

I agree!
