Just wondered if anyone knew any updates on continued quality of Zukes? I used their treats for  while when Ragley first came home, but then they were bought by Purina and we have not bought anything by them since. I know the company promised they would maintain their current quality standards, but we were all wary of it.

Has anyone noticed any changes in their products? Is the quality from before the sell-out still there? Still may abstain from purchasing on principle, but they did make some great products.

I've wondered about them as well. Zuke's small chewy size was perfect for training. I also stopped buying them after the
change of ownership in anticipation of the ingredient's decline.

I'm not sure, but I use Cloud Star Tricky Trainers for Ludo (they're small-- around pea sized or maybe slightly bigger-- and chewy) and they work great for us.  That might be a similar product to the Zukes.

Cloudstar's Tricky Trainers are the exact same size and shape as the Zuke's mini treats that a lot of us used for training.

And there are a lot of other good options out there as well.

I don't know if the formulas for the Zuke's treats have changed, but the sourcing definitely has, and that's the problem.

When this group first started, one of our top recommended food companies was Natura, makers of EVO, Innova and California Naturals. They were up there with Orijen and Acana. Then they were sold to Proctor and Gamble. Natura stipulated in their sales contract that the foods were not to change in any way for a period of one year. Exactly 13 months after the sale, the recalls started and have continued ever since. That's enough for me. :)

Personally I wouldn't buy anything that was made / owned by Purina. As Karen says, Cloudstars Tricky Trainers are the same size and perfect for training :)
Is there something wrong with the quality of zukes? I wasn't aware

They were sold to Purina. Nothing made by Purina (or any brand owned by a multinational corporation) is safe, as they purchase their ingredients through third party food brokers, and most of it comes from China. There is a lot of information about this here in TFG.
