Apparently we don't water Oski enough because once the water turns off, he comes trotting into the bathroom & stands patiently in front of the shower door waiting for us to step out so he can lick the water off our knees & toes. The DH must taste better than I do because Oski not only licks his knees & toes but also waits for him to sit down to put his socks on so that he can lick Jason's wet hair, LOL! So is this a doodle-thing or an Oski-thing?

It's a poodle thing! At least it was with my last girl. She'd shove the bathroom door open as soon as she heard the shower get turned off, and wait for me to step out. Then she'd 'dry' my legs & feet with her tongue. But she was only 20 lbs...I don't know if I could stand a big tongue doing that, LOL!
i am only laughing because we have to be in total lock down when it come to any bathroom activities!!!

Izzy has never bothered us in the bathroom except to swipe out socks...

BUT tucker, he goes nuts in the bathroom...you try to pee, he is at your undies playing tug-o war..your are in the shower he tries to jump in...and when i give peyton, our youngest a bath...watch out here he comes right in the tub! there is no waiting for him...and if by chance he misses the whole shower/bath time, he will be waiting to exfoliate from the knees down....esp. the toes.
it honestly is enough to drive us crazy!

oh yes...when we lock him out, he will sit and whine and bump the door!!! to let us know that just in case we would like to let him in, he is there waiting for us!!
This sent me into a laughing/coughing fit. Great imagery. I can't say I have the same extremes with Duff, but he does lay on the bathmat (we don't quite know what to do about that; I bought a bigger one, but he grew into it and doesn't leave any space for us). When we get out he licks the curtain, then me, then the tub, like a routine.
In my experiance it is a dog thing! My doodle and my border collie lab mix do it and all of our dogs since I was a kid have done this. I think they just want to get us dry! LOL
Rosco won't get ANYWHERE NEAR the bath if water is running...but he ALWAYS waits for me outside the door =) I think it's a doggy-loves-and-is-bonded-to-me-sooo-much thing =) Clark is in the shower RIGHT NOW, but Rosco is at my feet. Maybe he thinks the shower is a dangerous place (he hates baths) and is ready to save me...LOL

Just so you know I'm in the shower in this picture of Fenway. She is definitely waiting on me to get close enough so she can start licking. Fenway always accompanies me and Lee to the shower and then lays on the rug right outside of the shower for us to get out. She takes this job very seriously and makes sure that we miss no water on our legs. Sometimes I even see the curtain move while I'm in the shower and I'll look towards the back of the shower and there's a doodle head resting on the edge of the tub between the curtain and the wall. It's really funny, but we've tried really hard to break her of this habit. We were afraid at one point that she would actually get in the shower with us so we have tried unsuccessfully to put a stop to it. No matter what though our legs get another bath once we get out. She also takes the job of licking my legs when I put lotion on very seriously. Not sure if anyone else has had that happen or not.
If Oski didn't like getting showered he would definitely be trying to get in with us! He also likes to like lotion off hands/feet/anywhere that you happen to feel needs lotion--ours has a light herbal scent so I don't know if he thinks it's a snack? LOL :^)
That's too funny! Fenway is all about licking us and all about water. You gotta love them!
OMG I thought mine was the only one!! Mine has been doing this licking the legs dry thing since I got him. How hilarious that this is a syndrome. I was ashamed to tell anybody else that he did this. LOL
and he takes it very seriously too......like it is his job, and that he will be graded on his performance LOL
LMAO!
Oh yes! Malibu isn't so much there to lick the water off, but more so when she was a puppy, she'd nose the door open and come into the shower. During a bath, she waits at the side of the tub and gives me the stare down the whole time, as if thinking, "it's a body of water, and I should be swimming in it"
