I scared my own puppy!
This is too funny not to share.
This afternoon, our furnace went out (to the tune of a $165.00 repair bill!) so I had to go downstairs with DH to look to see what might be wrong. What was wrong was there was no flame whatsoever. Great! Anyway, we have a damp basement. Long story short, I'm allergic to the mildew and mold down there so if I go to the basement for a more than a few minutes I have to put one of those filter masks (like mold removers wear--bought it at Home Depot, like I'm a DIYer. LOL!). Anyway, when I came upstairs with the mask still on, Penny didn't recognize me. She growled. She barked. And then she ran away from me. It was hilarious! She didn't know her mama! After I took the mask off, she saw it was me and laid all sorts of loving on me. She was so glad I wasn't some kind of monster. My DH was literally on the floor laughing at Penny while he was trying to calm her down. I really gave her a fright. Poor baby! I feel so badly that I scared her, but who knew?

Too funny-thanks for sharing! Are you running a dehumidifier, it helped keep my basement dried up:)

Our basement is beyond being helped by a humidifier, unfortunately. When it rains, we have several "rivers" that come in at the front of our house and flow to the basement drain. We plan on having our basement waterproofed as the older our house gets, the more wet it gets.

so cute LOL. I had something funny happen to me just last night. We were watching TV and I started to sing along ( now, I know I am not good, but.....) Lincoln went running away and would not come near me. He was on the other side of the room giving me the stink eye! My hubby was hysterical too.
