Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi all!
I'm attempting to make a quilt and since I'm not super crafty I'm looking for any advice. I'm browsing right now for cute patterns that are good for beginners. I can do basic sewing but nothing super fancy so I would like something that is slightly above beginner status. Any one have any tips or cute patterns to share?
Thanks for the help guys!

Thanks Terri. I am thinking about opening an Etsy store, but it takes some time to get things organized and then here it is now very warm here and I am doing quite a bit of biking and photography. I intend to get the shop together before the end of summer.
I love that hat! It looks so nice and warm especially since it's snowing today here in Michigan lol.
Thanks Janie.
They are gorgeous!!
I'm in awe.

I love all the bright colors! It looks so nice! I will have to check that company out!
I just picked an old quilt back up and am finishing up this week (It's over 5 years old!!). If you can machine sew, you can quilt (or hand sew, for that matter). My advice is to not start out too aggressive. The quilt that I'm working on is queen sized and has appliquéd hearts on the blocks. By the time I had done all the cutting of the blocks and the hearts and got all of the hearts attached, I was so over the project. If you look on Pinterest, there are some great tutorials on the different parts. The first part is just stitching and piecing the front together, then you connect the front, inside (batting) and back with basting stitches (super easy running stitch that will be removed) or with safety pins), you quilt it up and then bind it! It's time consuming, but I think it's really cool!
That's what I'm afraid will happen! I tend to be really interested in projects but if they are too long or tedious I get tired of them really easily. I picked out some bundles of color coordinated fabric from Joann's that I liked and am looking over different patterns that seem cute but not super complicated. :)
Ugh! It deleted my reply! I'm going to message you.
