Phoebe at 4 1/2 months

Phoebes Sable coloring is really coming in now! Some areas on the legs are almost all a sable color. She is a great pup, such a cute personality. She's completely potty trained and no longer needs to be crated day or night. I can completely trust her to be left inside the house with Lana while I'm away for a few hours. They have a doggy door so they are pretty much self reliant. I'm so impressed with her progress for such a young pup! Just thought I would share Phoebes changing coat transformation.

Thank-you, I am very lucky she's so mature. You just never know, every puppy is so different with temperaments . My daughters doodle stayed in the young puppy stage much longer, He was a bit destructive during the puppy teething phase. Now at 1 year 4 months he is a great dog.

She has an interesting and beautiful coat - such a cutie!  Congrats on the potty training. I was lucky with my first doodle too, but the second doodle was not reliable until almost 6 months.

Wow, this is going to be an interesting coat to watch as she gets her adult coat.  In the third picture it almost looks to me like she will loose a lot of the black with her first haircut.  It seems like what is growning is the lighter color.  Hard to tell.  She is definitely unique and adorable.

Yes, exactly! The breeder described her as a brindle sable and expected most of her black would fade. Since the black is not at the root, it will be gone after a hair-cut. She will probably retain a bit of a black mask and black tipping on the ears. Thank- you, she's a sweetie pie.

Thanks so much! She is a pleasure to train, basic commands came so effortless , almost doesn't seem like I can take the credit. It's as if the commands were instinct. I was a little nervous, fearing two doodles might be too much to handle. It's actually worked out great having the two to keep each other company.

Than-you! This is the first time I've had large breed dogs, even with Lana, I wasn't sure what I was getting into, but I must say, they are the best dogs with such sweet temperaments.
