Lovely shot of a beautiful bird.  I took the opportunity of sharpening this a bit using NIK Viveza by placing control points on the bird and increasing structure by about 50%. It still isn't terribly sharp. It looks as if your autofocus selected the green leaf over and in front of the bird to focus on.  Sometimes with shots like this, I like to use center point focus (if the camera is capable of that)...

NIK Software is now free and is a marvelous way to enhance just about any image. See my post on Free NIK...

BTW:  I also cloned out the out of focus branch in front of the bird...

Nice edit Richard.  I have not downloaded NIK yet.

Nice edit!.  I love the NIK software and have been using it for awhile now.

Wonderful edit Richard.  I, too, love NIK.

Beautiful Sally and nice edit Richard.

I took this with my small purse camera that I always carry around. Actually it came out better than I thought. LOL! I wish I had had my DSLR for this one but I didn't. My little camera was just set on Auto. Before I cropped it, you couldn't see the fuzziness. I'll look up the software you mentioned. I have PhotoShop Elements on our Windows computer but I really have no software on my iPad...wonder if NIK works with Apple... Thanks for your help.

Nice, Sally!

Lovely image of a cardinal Sally.

While biking today, I saw the first baby goslings of this year.  Also saw a couple of deer both in velvet - which always amazes me to see these horns popping out of their heads!  Love Mother Earth and nature. Must have been in a hurry today, none of my photos were in focus!  The deer where eating leaves and then when I thought I had focus, he open his mouth!

His coat looks a little tough - I think they were really hungry too because they were not putting their heads up much even though we were 25 feet away.

Love the goslings although we have too manyCanada geese. The deer photo is great.

Thanks F.  Yes, I agree on the geese.  In some areas, you can hardly walk without stepping in their droppings.
