Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum
Hi,
Monkey is 9.6 lbs at 16 weeks, what would be his estimated adult weight? He is an Australian Multigen Labradoodle (mini). Thanks.

If you use the formula of doubling the weight at 4 months and then adding 5-10 lbs, he'd be 24-29 lbs at maturity. But there are no guarantees, lol.
Ditto. works every time for standards, not sure how that translates into mini's. What did your breeder guess?
That's really the only person who might have a good idea based on other litters she may have had with these parents.
Annabelle is a mini and was 7lbs at 16 weeks. Now she weighs between 15 and 15.5lbs as an adult.
The formula works pretty well for mini's then too I see. Good to know. Annabelle is so tiny, I can't even imagine a doodle that small! I do plan on a smaller one next time though.
Annabelle is not a jumper, so it makes it nice I can pick her up easily to put her in the car or on the bed. She won't even jump off the bed. I love the smaller size. At my age, I felt I could handle a smaller one better. When my GR passed away in our back yard, I had a hard time finding someone to come and get him. He weighed 80lbs. I finally found a mortuary that came and got him and cremated him.
I would guesstimate 22-25 pounds. The old rule of doubling the weight at 16 weeks and adding a few pounds has definitely worked for my dogs. That is a nice mini size.
