I am looking for new reads and hoping to possibly find a new author.  What book are you reading now and what are some of the books you hope to read this in 2016!  The first book I read this year was The Guilty by David Baldacci - part of Will Robie series and a quick read! Now I am back to my favorite pastime - "Bridge for Dummies".  I have read this book so many times it is falling apart.  Going to download efile on ipad.  I just cannot seem to remember some things it teaches you to do.  I guess I took up bridge too late in life! Just finished book 7 and ordered books 8 and 9.  I love these characters.  Outlander is back and this season looks like it will be almost as good as season one.

I like David Baldacci  and Lianne Moriarity too.  Some of my favorite authors are Kate Morton, Jojo Moyes, Dick Francis and now his son Felix Francis.  I also really like the Andy Carpenter series, can't remember author, just search for Andy Carpenter on Amazon - they are about a lawyer and hid Goldern Retreiver.

If you have a Kindle you can get some oldies but goodies super inexpensively on Amazon.  Try "In pursuit of the Green Lion" by Judith Merkle Riley and the books by James Herriot, an English country vet.

For some tougher reads I have enjoyed the "Seven Daughters of Eve" and I am working my way through the history series which starts with "How the Irish Saved Civilization". I can't remember author right now.

I am in goodreads and bookbub. too, sometimes helpful.

I had to look these up, but they are two of my all time favorite series.  "The Forever King" by Molly Cochran is the first of three or four in the series, an updated take on the King Arthur legend.  "The Mists of Avalon" by Marion Zimmer Bradley is more focused on other figures in the legend than author White "The Once and Future King" classic series.

I like Marcia Clarke's series of legal thrillers too. If you have not read any of the John Grisham books, most of them are very good also.

Hi Book Lovers,   I just finished "The Signature of all Things" by Elizabeth Gilbert,  highly recommend it, actually was surprised at how good it is.  She is a wonderful writer and it takes place in 1800, so there is some history too.  My book club just read "home front" by Kristin Hannah.  I love history, any suggestions.....thank you...have been away from this group for a while and excited to be back...

Do you like Civil War novels?  I am on the ninth book in the Bregdan Chronicles and am thoroughly enjoying them.  The characters are great and I feel like they are family.  It is very easy reading and the writing style is something I enjoy.  That would be my current suggestion.  You can just put them down and pick up at any time.

My "to be read" is about 3 years long, but here are a few:  currently reading A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas.  I'd really like to finally get to The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins.  I finished The Illuminae Files last Friday and I'm dying to get my hands on the next book by it doesn't come out til October.  I want to read the scrip to Harry Potter and the Curse Child by JK Rowling. I'll round off the list with Notorious RGB: The Life and Times of Ruth Bader Ginsburg by Irin Carmon.

2017....I am reading "A Dogs Purpose", love, love, love it.  If someone is reading it, could you tell me what you think the first dogs purpose is when his name was Toby.  I am not sure of this one.  i think this book should be read by all children who are old enough.  It may prevent animal abuse in some ways.  Would love to hear from others who are reading this.  There must be many if not all of us reading it.  Have been off sight for a bit got caught up in the political situation.  Thank you Kate
