Labradoodle & Goldendoodle Forum

It is with heavy heart that I must tell you all, that my beloved Paz crossed the rainbow bridge yesterday.  Paz had been doing so very well, however, over the last two weeks he began to go into a downward spiral.  Yesterday, the oncologist repeated a scan and there were two masses that appeared in his lungs.  The masses had not appeared on a recent scan, so apparently the cancer was extremely aggressive.  Paz had the type of lymphoma that is considered extremely aggressive and there was no way I could let him endure any more pain.  The greatest gift I could give my beloved boy, was to let him take his special place in heaven and I had to let him go.  I can't begin to tell you the emptiness in my heart.

My adult son is encouraging me to get a doodle puppy, and to continue Paz's amazing work, so I've decided to do so.  My apartment feels so empty, and I can't bear walking through the door.  I would so appreciate if you all could send me a message about breeders you recommend.  I am seeking a standard size labradoodle, because I loved Paz's size and his curly hair.

I'm going to sign off now, because this is hard to write about.  You are such a wonderful family and I look forward to hearing from you.

So sorry to hear that Paz took a turn for the worse.  I was so hopeful that your Vet's were on to something amazing that was going to be good news for future Lymphoma dogs.  Glad to hear that you are going to be getting another puppy.  I know we learned quite by accident that it is hard to be sad when there is a puppy in the house.  I hope that you find just what you are looking for.

Charlotte, I am so sorry for your loss. Paz was an amazing dog and the two of you were amazing together. Please know my heart goes out to you. I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Charley, I am shocked and saddened by this terrible news. I cannot imagine your pain. Paz was a great dog and an inspiration for many of us. Healing hugs.

I am so sorry to hear the devastating news about your Paz.  He retains a place in many, many hearts.  Please take comfort in the knowledge that you helped him fight this terrible disease with the utmost grace and devotion.  I hope that loving and training another labradoodle to continue Paz's work will be both a wonderful tribute to him and a balm to the pain of his loss.

So sorry to hear that Paz lost his battle.  From personal experience, I know a new puppy can fill a empty heart and empty home.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of your beloved Paz. I am sure this is so heartbreaking... You gave him a great life full of love. Sending you prayers for strentpgth and doodle kisses from Shelby!

CharIey, am so sorry. Paz was truly one of the most special dogs ever, giving comfort to others. He will be missed by so many of us. Even though we weren't  lucky enough to meet him in person, his fame was wide-spread and we loved and admired him.  My heart goes out to you.  I think you are right to get another puppy.  You are the one who made Paz such a great dog, you can do it again.

I'm so sorry for your loss!
Charlotte I can't find the words to tell you how sorry I'm to hear this. I've been following Paz's journey since you first shared it with us. I felt so up built by the courage and strength you both showed. I read the first sentence of this post and was brought to tears. It seems Paz was extraordinary and was able to affect the lives of many for the better. I was so impressed and inspired with your care for him and your efforts. When you are ready I hope you can share more lessons learned in honor of your Paz. I hope you find the perfect addition to your family

Oh Charley, words can't begin to tell you how sorry I am to hear this unexpected news. Paz is a beautiful soul and he has surely earned his angel wings. My heart is breaking for you but know that I think a puppy will bring light into your life.  I truly believe Pazzie will guide him. Hugs and prayers on the way. Just so sad.

Oh my, I'm so very sorry to read your sad news. Having followed his story from when he was diagnosed, this is heartbreaking. He was an amazing boy with an amazing mom and he helped so many people. He's running free, happy and healthy now, and is playing with his buddies across the rainbow bridge. Many hugs to you.

I'm so sorry and shocked to hear that Paz has crossed the Rainbow Bridge. He was such a special boy and I know your new baby will also be special in his or her own way.  Peace and hugs to you and run free sweet Pazzie!!
