So I'm taking my little baby Jax to the Vet on friday and I'm trying to get questions together to ask him. I was wondering if y'all could help me with that.

Is this is his first vet visit since bringing him home?

I would discuss heart worm and flea and tick meds. There are a lot of options and you want to make an educated decision not just take what happens to be the office kickback that month. If you have small kids or other pets, you may not want topical. It is better to get it through your vet than retail. While it is cheaper, it is most likely not the same thing even if same brand. Bring in a fecal with you for testing. Discuss when he recommends neutering. Also if your puppy will be going to daycare or something like that he will need a bordetella shot for kennel cough. He should have all of his shots though before you take him anywhere around other dogs, other than the vet. I took Annabelle in her carrier so she wouldn't be down on the vet floor where the germs are until she was fully vaxed.

I would also get pet insurance unless you are financially able to come up with several thousand dollars for something catastrophic. Some puppies love to eat socks, squeakers in toys, etc that can lead to some major vet bills. Pet insurance though is separate from the vet. Usually you pay them and then get reimbursed minus your deductible after you send in the claim.
