TV watching doodles

I was just curious if anyone else doodles watch tv? Lukai will sit down and become so engaged with what's on the tv. Sometimes she will sit through more than 15 min of tv. We always get a kick out of it!

I have heard with digital tv, dogs see pretty much as we do.

Charlie hears the music to the doggie commercials and is up and in front of the tv before the doggie even appears in the commercial! Yikes - every commercial has a dog in it these days.

Zeus does like Luca, Gibbs, and Charlie. He loves to watch TV and all of the commercials. If he's downstairs, he'll hear the beginning of a commercial (knowing it has an animal in it), bolt up the stairs, and when the animal appears, he barks. For some reason, he hated the Swiffer commercial with the cowgirl in it (no animals whatsoever). When the jingle started, he'd bolt up the stairs, already barking before even seeing the TV screen.

I literally have to change the channel (muting the sound doesn't help) when an animal (even a stick-figure or a cartoon character) is on TV - whether its a show, a movie, or a commercial. One day, he actually let me watch Alone for Christmas, so I was really happy. I sure wish there were TV parental controls for dogs. Maybe I can find him some doggie blinders and earmuffs. Hmm...

One of our Westie's Penny likes to watch golf, other than that a little football every now and then but she doesn't watch tv like Gibbs does. Oh, Gibbs also loves the iPad. I can ask him if he wants to watch some YouTube and he will hop up next to you and watch YouTube. Of course his favorite to watch is dogs, he likes the screen when he finds a doggie he really likes, really crazy!!!

Picco watches TV when we do.  He picks up on all animal sounds and sights, has to bark with the dogs.  But he watched baseball with us too.  I don't think he could really follow the ball but watches movement.

And those dang doorbell commercials should be illegal!!

I totally agree on the doorbell commercials. Annie hates those. She doesn't bark at our doorbell, so she must know the difference. Even some ringing phones on tv, she is not too happy about. Annie like football, not too interested in the other sports. She falls asleep during golf.

Hahaha! I totally agree on the doorbell thing. Zeus didn't even know what a doorbell was because I've never had one at my current house, but he soon learned all about it on TV.

Harpo not only watches TV, he also wants to participate in whatever is going on.  He loves horses and dogs or anything running across the screen.  Hondo also watched TV and they will cock their heads and listen carefully.  Harpo has also started watching the screen on the computer because sometimes there is some action on the computer.  Dogs barking will always get him going.  Our other dogs could care less about TV.
