Penny 3/4 golden retriever with doodle is emerging

It's been so fun to watch Penny's doodle features emerge. Since she is 3/4 golden retriever we were sure she'd look more retriever. While she does not have much wave to her coat, the facial furnishings are definitely coming out! I love this group and I'd love to share a timeline.

How is the hair situation? Do you find Penny sheds less?

She has been shedding lightly. The only time I notice it is after a car ride and there is hair on the black seats. Otherwise I have not noticed it around the house. She is only 10 weeks old and I dont know how much a golden retriever pup would shed at this age. I have my fingers crossed as I've had plenty of experience with adult golden retrievers to know the shedding can be overwhelming!

Aww, she's adorable, Jeri. I had a full-bred GR puppy and she shed massively from birth until entering doggie heaven several years later. Since Penny is part Poodle, hopefully she won't shed as badly as the typical GR. My Shardoodle, Zeus, is a massive shedder. I recently put him on Shed-X. After 30 days of dosing him with the supplement, I'll let you know if it works in case you might want to try it on Penny. :O)

Penny is just adorable! Our two are the opposite...3/4 poodle, 1/4 Golden. It is really wonderful to see this in reverse. What a beautiful mix. Is she as sweet as she looks? :-)

Thank you! And yes, she is very sweet! She's very playful and a fast learner! We love her! The thing is we were under the impression that she was going to be 3/4 poodle... That is what we were told. We even met the parents... Or who we thought the father was. The breeder realized later the pups were resembling the Golden retriever more and realized that one of her golden retrievers sired the litter! We were already very attached to Penny <3

Penny is 16 weeks old today! She has wings on her cheeks, bushy eyebrow and her coat is showing more texture.
