Hello!
Does anyone know of any doodle romp, or doodle groups in Md? I only found one near Annapolis, but I don't think its active.
Thanks!

I was wondering the same thing. I haven't heard of anything. Let me know if you find something. I think you joined the MD group I started, right? I would be interested if something gets organized.
Yes I am! I was thinking of making one, But I wasn't sure where or how to do it.
We tried to go to other dog parks without doodles, but Bella gets really scared. There is always a few dogs who step on her toes and try to bite her, that's why I started looking for doodle groups with no luck :(. I thought that maybe because they have the same temperament she might not be scared.
Hi Sam. Is the group you found in Annapolis www.annapolisareadoodle.com? If not this is a active group. They also have a yahoo group you can join. It's under the same name on yahoo. Lisa holds romps every month in Annapolis, usually in the morning on the first Saturday or Sunday. Even though we don't go anymore (my Gus isn't friendly towards other dogs anymore) I still get emails from her for when they are scheduled. The last email I got said one was scheduled on July 3rd. I emailed Lisa to ask if she's still having them. I let you know when she responds.
Thank you Joe! Yes that is the group that I was talking about. I tried to call, email, and ask the places that they went to see if they had them anymore (the romps), and nobody really knew.
I just got the email this morning for the August romp. It's this coming Sunday Aug. 7th from 11am to 12pm. It's at the Happy Trails Pet Resort in Crownsville, MD.
We went their a few months ago to see if they were there. I would love to go! I have to see what's going on this weekend:)
Thanks!
We sometimes take Molly to Coventry in Columbia. They have a puppy and teen social time for play on Saturday mornings. You have to pay $15, but they get play time with the trainers there to oversee everything. Molly still is in the puppy social because that is where she is fitting in right now. They do have two sides of the room, so there is a quieter side for more laid back or smaller dogs. I am not sure about the "teen" social yet, we haven't done that yet. I did see two other doodles last time I was there.
The summer is easier for us to do this, before the crazy sports/activities schedules start for our kids. Let me know if you get something started. I am not sure of a dog park that would be available. I would love to participate in a MD doodle romp. It would be fun.
