Do any of your precious babies have Cushing's Disease? I am so depressed and need to talk to someone with experience for guidance.

I am sorry to hear about your doodle. There is a Health and Medical Issues group here you could join and post this discussion there as well. You may get more responses. http://www.doodlekisses.com/group/healthandmedicalissues
I am so sorry to hear that your doodle has Cushing's disease. It is always hard to hear that a loved one has a chronic condition.
Roo has had Addison's disease since he was 18 months old. It is the opposite of Cushings and is treated with medicine everyday like Cushing's disease. Roo is now nearly nine and has had congestive heart disease for the last seven monhts - more ,medication. In both cases I was so sad and upset, it felt as if my heart was breaking. Just take it a day at a time and follow your vet's advice. Once the medication is "just right" life normalizes and your spirits will perk up. Roo is doing fine and still enjoys playing bone, taking walks, and just being a dog. That is the best part - your dog is not worried, and once the meds kick in he will feel good also.
I am sending you a DK "hug", as no doubt you could really use one.
It was suspected that my Springer had Cushings because of symptoms and reactions to medications, and he may have had a 'mild' case. He responded to treatments without formal testing so we never fully tested. I do remember how worried I was and how concerned I was about long term effects. Sending you hugs.
